SUBJECT: Adult Involvement, Uniform, Meeting Times & E-mail addresses..
1. Tiger Cubs is all about involvement of the Adult Partners. Please review the Tiger Cub Handbooks that I passed out at the 9/6/01 Den Meeting. If you don't have a book or were not at the 9/6/01 meeting, please see me for a handbook as I have extras. They are paid for as part of your dues.
2. Each Tiger will need a Tiger Cub Shirt and Cap. We will also be using the Tiger Cub instant recognition kit, which consists of a leater belt hanger and beads. The official belt is optional, but if you buy one, get one with the Cub Scout rather than Tiger Cub logo on it as your son can use it for 5 years. These three items can be purchased at the Scout Shop (435 and Holmes). Dues are $25 for the year for each Tiger and are due to Kirk Doan on or before the September 27 Pack Meeting. Dues will entitle you to Boys Life magazine. Adult dues at $10 and entitle you to Scouting magazine. Dues also pay for BSA insurance, Den rank advancement badges and part of the Pack operating expenses.
3. Our goal is to meet the first two Thurdays of each mont at 7pm in the Lion's Den Room of Woods Chapel Church. We will also do one "Go See It" field trip each month.We will not meet in the Lion's Den Room on the week of the Pack Meeting, which is generally the fourth Thursday of each month (it moves around due to Thanksgiving in November, Christmas in December, Pinewood Derby in January, and Blue & Gold in February.) The Tiger Cub Den will instead attend and participate in the Pack Meeting each month.
4. I will be e-mailing information to Adult Partners. Also please check the Pack Website at http://www.kirkdoan.com to keep up to date with Pack events and happenings. Our Pack Organizational Chart, Calendar, Parents Informational Brochure, Monthly Pack Committee meeting minutes and this newsletter will all be posted there.

9/6 - Den Meeting at the Lion's Den Room, Wood's Chapel Church 7 - 8 p.m. Program will be introduction to Tiger Cubs
9/13 - Den Meeting at the Lion's Den Room, Wood's Chapel Church 7 - 8 p.m. Program will be Fossils
9/? Go see it - We will decide where our "go see it" field trip will be this month at our 9/13 meeting.
9/27 - Pack Meeting at Woods Chapel UMC at 7 p.m. in the Gymnasium.
10/4 - Den Meeting at the Lion's Den Room, Wood's Chapel Church 7 - 8 p.m.
10/6 - Native Hoofed Animal Safari Tour - Take a wild ride - stare a buffalo in the eyes - thrill to a family of elk playing in a pasture. Tour the 100-acre enclosure in Fleming Park. Bring apples or pears to feed the elk and bison. Tickets may only be purchased the day of each tour at the Missouri Town 1855 Gift Shop. We will take the 10 a.m. tour. Tickets are $4 ($3 for youth). Your entire family is welcome to participate.
10/11 - Den Meeting at the Lion's Den Room, Wood's Chapel Church 7 - 8 p.m.
